Last month Curtis and I were invited to visit a client's house to tour their restored 1800s farmhouse. Neil and Karen hired us to restore an antique stained-glass window and install it into a new door for their farmhouse restoration.
We were excitedly greeted as soon as we pulled into their driveway. Neil came out in the rain to see Curtis's reaction to his first view of the door installed in their home. We were thrilled with his excitement and so pleased he was happy with the finished product.
Neil explained to us that while Karen's desire for their restoration was the beautiful screened porch, Neil's was the door. He always wanted a stained-glass door and was thrilled with the results. Neil told us he takes pictures every season and uses the window to frame what he sees outside. Before we left, he took a picture of Curtis and me with Sven through his window.
Restoring and installing this window into the door was a labor of love for Curtis. He has a passion for historic homes and was thrilled to have the opportunity to help make Neil's dream come true.
